Artist Residency : Fernie Brewing Company

Earlier this year, I was accepted into an artist residency at one of my favorite places, Sou'wester Historic Lodge, on the PNW coast. My prompt was to create a beer can series featuring Fernie and let my surroundings inspire the work. Every day, Fernie and I explored the beach, then headed back to make breakfast, put on some music, and get to work—taking breaks to adventure, eat, drink wine, and start again. By the end of the residency, I had gone from rough ideas to three finished beer can concepts, inspired by our time on the coast and the little things I noticed along the way.
